TRPN News

The RGV LEAD TRPN Convener team, consisting of Dr. Norma Salaiz and Janie Johnston Lopez, attended and presented at the Texas Regional Pathways Network Convening on February 14-15, 2023. The convening was designed to support the regional pathways work and the application of best practices from the field. The convening provided resources and insights to maximize outcomes, strengthen partnerships, and increase program capacity. The convening offered opportunities to connect with and learn from other regional grantees. The overarching goal of the convening was to deepen knowledge and understanding of the seven TRPN components in support of current and future regional pathways design and implementation. Participants also learned about related education and workforce development priorities and strategies across the Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative. They built connections across the network and shared best practices and strategies for implementing and growing strong regional pathways. Consultancy activities were provided for TRPN members in which they had an opportunity to solve problems together.

An added highlight was that participating conveners developed a regional team poster that shared initiatives they have been using for their TRPN cohorts. TRPC cohorts poster pictured right.

RGV LEAD commends Jobs for the Future for organizing an informative, interactive convener conference and looks forward to future meetings where different regions can get together to share challenges and success stories.
