As we approach the end of an era and we bid a happy retirement to Pat Bubb, I, the incoming Executive Director, know I have very big shoes to fill. Mrs. Bubb has taught me many things over our time working together, however I feel what I am going to miss the most are the stories of how she got where she did; hearing stories about growing up on a farm, to her days in a law office and finally her days as a grandmother. She has earned her right to retire, and we, the leaders of RGV LEAD, need to carry the torch and continue to make RGV LEAD the best that it can be. So in closing, Mrs. Bubb, I pray that you continue to smile, have fun and squeeze those grand-babies of yours! Also the next time I am in Austin, lunch is on me so I can finally meet in person the wonderful individual that I have come to know and love.
