Here’s To You, Pat!
Pat has inspired me in countless ways. I could write a book on all the ways this woman has impacted my life. I just want to say that Pat has been an amazing influence in my life. Her work ethic, passion, and perseverance are completely admirable!! She has made such an amazing impact in the RGV because she took the charge of creating a collaborative movement that has changed students’ lives since 1992 when RGV LEAD (formerly known as Tech Prep) was created. Her legacy will live on forever!! I am constantly inspired by her unshakable faith, values, and passion to serve and bring positive change. Pat has changed the landscape for so many students. She has inspired me since the day I met her, and what started as a business relationship, has transpired into a beautiful friendship. Pat, we will all miss you greatly!! However, we want you to know that we will pour our hearts into continue building what you started! You leave an untouchable legacy, and we can only hope that we will build beyond that. We hope you truly enjoy retirement because God knows you deserve it!!!! Love you so very much!!
Pat, your hard work, dedication, achievements, and standards of excellence will forever have an impact on this organization and all the people you have touched along the way. Best wishes, my friend, for a long, healthy, and happy retirement enjoying your family, babies, and doing the desires of your heart. Words are limited in expressing my gratitude but THANK YOU for the great memories, your contributions to RGV LEAD and the Rio Grande Valley. Your retirement is well deserved, but you will be missed! Happy and Blessed Retirement!
Pat, it has been a pleasure and an honor working with you in varied roles these last 25 years. You’ve inspired educators, employers, and regional leaders to partner in addressing education and workforce needs in the RGV for many years and have made a positive impact. Your
servant leadership motivated many to actively participate in RGV LEAD. Wishing you a wonderful retirement my friend. Love you and God bless you.
It has truly been an honor to have had the opportunity to work with Pat over the last 29 years while serving on the board of Tech Prep/RGV LEAD. Pat has made the difference with her optimism, enthusiasm and willingness to serve the organization, as well as the students of the
Rio Grande Valley. Her dedication to education has helped set the bar for so many who have worked with her. I know that Pat’s faith in God will continue to lead her throughout her retirement years. God bless you, my friend!
It has been such a privilege to work alongside Pat in service to the children of our region. I have deep respect and admiration for her and her work. It was not just about the work that she did in the region but the manner in which she did her work. Pat carried herself with grace and elegance and always reminded us of the moral imperative behind our work. She has left her imprint in South Texas.
Mrs. Bubb is a very beautiful lady inside and out. She has been a great leader and an inspiring mentor. She has been a wonderful blessing in my life and has impacted the lives of so many others. I feel very blessed to have worked with Mrs. Bubb for twenty three years. During our time together we spent numerous late evenings in the office working to meet grant proposal deadlines. We always worked well together and I always felt appreciated, because she never failed to express it. God has truly used her to make a positive impact in the Rio Grande Valley. Although I will miss working with her, I’m happy for her and I congratulate her on her retirement. She will always stand out in my mind as the best boss ever.

Dear Pat, I have been so blessed to know you and to be able to call you, “Friend.” You are an inspirational prayer warrior whose faith is a testament to how you live your life. I loved the way you opened every meeting with a prayer which helped us reflect on the agenda ahead of us. I have learned so much from you about editing and proofreading… LOL…I’m truly going to miss you! Thank you for all you have done to inspire educators, postsecondary partners, and business partners across the Rio Grande Valley…a job well done! I’m going to miss you, but I’m super happy for you! Working with Pat over nearly 20 years has been among the highlights of my professional career. It has been a true inspiration to collaborate with her in the service of our young people and the future of the Rio Grande Valley and her enthusiasm is contagious. More than that, she is a good and dear friend, and I wish her all the best as she enjoys spending time with her family. We will miss you and we love you, Pat!
I think it’s undebatable that you are a pillar of our CTE community in the Rio Grande Valley. You have been instrumental at fostering valuable and much-needed collaborations between us as CTE administrators and our community stakeholders in an effort to provide enhanced opportunities for our CTE students. These collaborations have greatly helped link various community resources to our schools to help our youth achieve more academic success and prepare them even further for their future college/career life. I have learned so much from you over the years and wish you nothing but the best on your retirement. Hopefully, you will take this opportunity to get some much deserved rest, enjoy your children and grandchildren, and finally enjoy and celebrate all of the wonderful contributions you have made to our RGV school districts. Your work ethic and energy so admirable and contagious that I know it will live on in many of us!
