Education & Career EXPO Returns to the RGV

Seeing so many bright young minds at the 2023 RGV LEAD Education and Career Expo was great. Local high school students spent the morning at interactive booths and information sessions about educational and career opportunities. Thank you, RGV LEAD, for bringing this important event to our TSC ITEC Center.
~ Texas Southmost College

These were the words presented by Texas Southmost College, the host site for the EXPO. But RGV LEAD wants to thank TSC for providing the facility that allowed the thousand-plus high school students to interact with business partners and college representatives and listen to guest speakers. After a two-year absence caused by the pandemic, it was thrilling to see all the students from across the Rio Grande Valley enter through the double doors, pick up tote bags, and head to information booths!

RGV LEAD is excited to be back on track for the EXPO and can hardly wait to see what next year brings!

RGV LEAD contractors and TRPN conveners Dr. Norma Salaiz and Janie Johnston Lopez stand with Luis Rodriguez, RGV LEAD Executive Director, holding up tote bags that were donated for the EXPO. Salaiz and Lopez also presented at a breakout session on their experiences in the field of education. Awaiting the hundreds of students who will enter the TSC facility are Viviana from TSC and Mayra Vallejo, RGV LEAD office assistant. The ladies have hundreds of totes to distribute and look forward to handing them to eager students.

Thank you, sponsors, for supporting the Education & Career EXPO.
