Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT)
Career Guidance Member Award

Each year the Career & Technical Association of Texas (CTAT) grants various awards to each of the twelve CTAT areas across the state recognizing individuals or entities from the education or business/industry community who enhance the established Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. These awards acknowledge individual’s contributions to the improvement, promotion, development, and progress of CTE, thereby positively impacting the image of the CTE programs.

The local South Texas CTAT Area 9 organization also grants a Community Partner Excellence Award every year. Sharyland ISD was the sweepstakes winner:

CTAT recognizes one of our Sharyland ISD CTE Counselors, Rocio Montemayor, for her outstanding work in guiding our CTE students. Zar Castillo and Haziel Lopez are Sharyland ISD’s longstanding Partners in Education for the positive impact they have made in the Sharyland ISD CTE programs.
