RGV LEAD Ambassador Crowned 84th Annual Río Grande Valley Livestock Show Cover Girl
RGV LEAD is proud to announce that RGV LEAD Ambassador, Gabriella “Gabby” Rodriguez, was recently crowned Cover Girl for the 84th Annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show. Gabby represents Willacy Clovers 4H. The 17-year-old Lyford High School junior is the daughter of Jesse and Nicole Rodriguez. She ranks in the top 2% of her class while maintaining leadership roles as a member of the National Honor Society, RGV LEAD advocate, member of the varsity track, softball, and volleyball teams, and the Sentinel for the Lyford FFA. In addition, she is Treasurer for Tip-O-Tex District FFA. As an active 4H member, Gabby is the President of her club and serves District 12 4H as Public Relations Officer. She advocates for the agriculture and livestock industries by serving as a Texas Youth Livestock Ambassador and National Brand Ambassador for the NRS Show Team.
This is Gabby’s 9th year competing in the Rio Grande Livestock Show exhibit-ing goats, horses, and cattle, including horticulture, photography, and western art projects. Gabby has developed into a philanthropist determined to improve the quality of life in her community. She is an altar server, lector, and choir member at church. Gabby voices her patriotism by singing the National Anthem at local events and Texas major livestock shows.
She aspires to an internship with Biozyme Incorporated and to attend West Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in International Agriculture Development.
