Thought for the Month
July 2021
July 2021
It’s the 4th of July, 2021. How did you and your family celebrate our nation’s independence? Maybe you had an outdoor BBQ and spent the evening shooting fireworks with family and friends, or you attended your city’s firework display. However you spent it, you most likely felt a sense of freedom to be able to celebrate wholeheartedly after missing out on the infamous 2020 cancellations!
As we celebrate our Nation’s freedom, let’s remember to share with our youth that freedom is not something we take for granted. Remind them why we celebrate this special day – it can be a fun history lesson! Remind them that with freedom comes responsibility. They will learn how to be responsible adults.
We live in the best country in the world. Let’s celebrate every day!
If tomorrow all the things were gone
I worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I’d thank my lucky stars
To be livin’ here today
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can’t take that away
And I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up
Next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA
To the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to L.A.
Well, there’s pride in every American heart
And it’s time we stand and say
That I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up
Next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land (love this land)
God bless the USA
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I’d gladly stand up
Next to you and defend her still today
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land (love this land)
God bless the USA
