Leonard Sanchez and Maisey Martinez, RGV LEAD Ambassadors from Brownsville Lopez Early College High School, led in the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. In addition, these outstanding students presented in one of the breakout sessions on the topic of Cultivating Strong

Educational Leaders. The presentation focused on what it means to be an educational leader, the growth of an educational leader. The students presented detailed slides on the traits of a leader, the makings of a successful educational leader, cultivating leadership in others, and cultivating the nature of leadership.

It goes without saying that it was impressive to hear these sophomore and junior students present to educators and administrators throughout the valley! Truly, the leadership skills they have developed through the RGV LEAD Ambassador program and other extracurricular programs have had an impact on the way they will face their future.

RGV LEAD commends Leonardo and Maisey on a job well done!
